Territorial Cardinal Female

Annals of an Animal Communicator
Sunbathing on the deck this afternoon disturbed a nesting Cardinal female. First she warned me to evacuate my position as she hopped about the wires on the deck raiingl. That didn’t work because I was blissfully soaking up the sun. Next she moved closer to the rocking chair about 8 inches from my head. From there she launched about 6 attacks on my head; furious chirping and wing beating episodes that fanned the air about me nicely and gave me a little thrill. Then she gave up and flew away and I finished my sunbathing. I told her I was harmless and she must have finally gotten the message.
